Summer brings us sandcastle contests at the beach, Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra’s fabulous Pops By The Sea 
performance, the famous Carnival Week in Provincetown, and a gala “Hookers Ball” under a big white tent.

“Hookers Ball”

The name of this event got your attention, didn’t it?
Hookers Ball is the annual summer gala of the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance. Held under a big white tent on the grounds of the Chatham VFW, this event supports the local fishing community and features the most fabulous seafood Cape Cod has to offer, all supplied by local fishermen.
The evening’s festivities include live and silent auctions, great music, dancing, and lots of fun. Come on out and support Cape Cod’s fleet and coastal community! Note: This is an adults-only (21+) event. ID required.
Provincetown Jazz Festival
When: August 11 & 15, 2016
Where: The Crown & Anchor in Provincetown and Cotuit Center for the in Cotuit

This year’s lineup features such notable jazz names as Billy Stritch, Scott Avidon, Evan Christopher, and Nicki

Provincetown Carnival Week
When: August 13 – 19, 2016
Where: Multiple venues and events around Provincetown

This year’s Carnival theme is “Back to the ’80s”.
Events during this wild and famous week in P’town include Carnival’s Original Costume Party and the big Carnival Parade, plus boat cruises, dance parties, pool parties and a vendor fair.

Stony Brook Gristmill’s Cornbread Festival
