What time is check-out?

Check-out is at 10 AM on the day of your departure. You must leave the property at or before 10 AM and return your key accordingly.

Can we check-out a little later than 10 AM?

No, as with check-ins there are no exceptions. If you stay later that 10 AM, you will be charged. Please see additional information on your lease. Again, as with check-ins, we try to make the process work as smoothly as possible. Late check-outs could potentially throw off the schedule for the day.

Are there any other fees in addition to the rental rate?

For all rentals, there is a $125.00 non-refundable processing fee as well as a fully refundable damage deposit (providing property is left in good condition).  We also understand that often times things are left behind.  Please be advised that there will be a $25.00 service charge plus postage to return the items to you.

How do I go about getting a beach sticker?

Each town has an office where you can purchase a beach sticker for your stay. Different stickers are required for town beaches and National Seashore beaches. No stickers are needed in Provincetown for town owned beaches. A ‘proof of stay’ issued by your rental agency is required in each of the towns. We may be able to send the proof of stay to you prior to your check-in. Please call us for details.

How will the house be decorated, will it be like a hotel?

Vacation rentals are private homes and reflect the taste of the individual owners. We describe the house and decor as best we can. The amenities are outlined on the house description sheet.

What do I need to bring with me?

Provincetown rentals come with linens and towels. For rentals in Truro and Wellfleet you are responsible for supplying your own sheets, towels, toiletries and paper products. You are welcome to bring your own, or you may rent linens and other items (baby equipment, beach equipment, etc.) from companies in the area. We would be more than happy to supply you with their phone numbers and order forms.

Am I responsible for cleaning the house upon departure?

You are responsible for returning the house to the state in which you found it. In other words, the house should be neat and ‘broom clean’. The cleaners will handle the heavy cleaning.

I am thinking about having a party during my stay; will that effect my occupancy?

Yes it will. Strict compliance to occupancy is mandatory. Whether guests are staying for the day or overnight, they will effect the occupancy. All guests over occupancy must be approved by the owner. Please call us with any questions.

Where can I do my grocery shopping?

If you are looking to buy groceries, there are two major supermarkets in Orleans (Stop & Shop off the rotary exit and Star Market just off Exit 12) and in Provincetown (Stop & Shop on Shank Painter Road). For staples and smaller loads, there are several small markets such as the Eastham Superette in Eastham, Lema’s in Wellfleet, Jams Gourmet Market and Dutra’s in Truro, Angel Foods, Far Land, and Tedeschi’s in Provincetown.

What kind of clothing is most appropriate during my stay?

New England and Cape Cod weather is both lovely and unpredictable. If you are staying during the height of the summer shorts and beachwear are perfect. Beach shoes are always a good idea to guard yourself against hot pavement, hot sand and sharp shells. Sweatshirts are suggested for the cooler evenings, especially if you are planning a moonlit stroll on the beach.

For those of you staying in the spring or fall, it can be difficult to predict the weather. With Cape Cod you should pack a little of everything! You never know if it will be warm or brisk. The weather only adds to the charm of the Cape.
